Shueh completed his specialist ENT training in 2017 in the West of Scotland, United Kingdom. He obtained his Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. In 2018, he completed his fellowship training in otology and cochlear implantation at Christchurch Hospital, New Zealand.

In addition to his private practice, Shueh also holds a consultant position at Waikato Hospital. He is a committee member of Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Ear Intervention Programme in Waikato. He has a special interest in Maori ear health.
